The IJ Pledge
Breaking down barriers and red tape to help child support professionals work together across jurisdictions.
About IJ Fair
The Intergovernmental Fair, IJ Fair for short, has been held during the WICSEC Annual Conference since its introduction in 2005. It is a networking event where Child Support Professionals from all over the country share Intergovernmental case processing best practices and contact information.
In 2020, WICSEC offered a virtual IJ Fair when the Annual Conference was also virtual. In 2021, WICSEC partnered with ERICSA to offer joint mini virtual IJ Fairs throughout the year. In 2022, NTCSA joined WICSEC and ERICSA in the effort. ERICSA also started holding an IJ Fair at their Annual Conference in 2024. The collaboration continues to allow more attendees to participate. More information on future joint IJ Fairs can be found here:
Take the Pledge
The purpose is to encourage contact and collaboration between states, local jurisdictions, and tribes in an effort to work together to improve service to our customers.
Attendees of the Fairs are encouraged to “Take the Pledge” – a process by where contact information is shared with other pledge takers – all of whom agree to work collaboratively by sharing direct contact information and agreeing to support and respond to inquiries from fellow child support professionals.
In short, participating in the Fair means “Let’s break down barriers and red tape, and help each other.”
At every IJ Fair – whether in-person or virtual, we ask attendees to sign the pledge. You don’t have to wait until the conference or virtual fair to sign the pledge though, you can view and sign it anytime!
Search the Pledge List
Once you’ve signed the pledge and are logged in, you can search the list. The list includes the names and contact information for everyone who has attended an IJ Fair and taken the pledge – past and present!
We often hear from child support professionals who use the list to contact colleagues in other IV-D programs to resolve complex case issues. They have told us it is a great asset in their daily work.
